My name is Valerie Smith and I have a degree in Art and Design with numerous and varied experiences involving my degree. For eight years, I designed and coordinated the decorating of Mardi Gras floats and costumes in Texas prior to moving to Louisiana five years ago.
I designed and constructed the King and Queen mantles and collars for local Krewes and numerous pirate costumes in 2009, and am currently commissioned for King and Queen mantles and collars as well as the Captain's costume for 2010 Mardi Gras.
I would appreciate the opportunity to submit a bid along with sketches and fabric swatches for any of your Krewe's future needs.
